League Format:
• Day 1: 30 Min-Positional Training; 1.5 Hours-Competitive Play
• Day 2: 30 Min-Positional Training; 1.5 Hours-Competitive Play
• Day 3: 30 Min-Positional Training; 1.5 Hours-Competitive Play
• Day 4: Championship Tournament Play
Competitions will use a Cauldron Format.
In a Cauldron practice, a typical session is broken down into fast-paced, high-stakes mini-games. Think of the "CAULDRON" as a place to keep adding your points into.
Mixed Groupings: Athletes are constantly shuffled into different pairs or small teams rather than staying with fixed partners or permanent starting lineups.
- Timed Games: Drills and mini-matches are played for a strict duration (e.g., 3 to 5 minutes) rather than first-to-25 points.
- Scoring: Scores are tracked as for each individual player, not as a team or win/lose record. So score as many points as you can! Even if you lose, you still add to your cauldron!
- Cumulative Tracking: A master spreadsheet tracks each individual player’s cumulative point differential and overall rank across every practice. The top 3 players with the most overall points will get awards and bragging rights!
