1. What team levels does the club offer?
We currently offer four levels of club teams: Elite Teams, Top Teams, Select Teams, and the Gold Program. Each program is designed to fit different levels of commitment, experience, and goals.
2. How do I know which team level is right for my child?
Placement depends on the athlete’s skill level, goals, experience, commitment level, and willingness to travel. Coaches evaluate players during tryouts and recommend the best fit for their development.
3. What is the difference between Elite, Top, Select, and Gold teams?
Each program varies in intensity, travel, practice schedule, and commitment level:
- Elite Teams: Highest level of competition and travel
- Top Teams: Competitive travel teams with strong college interest
- Select Teams: Development-focused teams with moderate commitment
- Gold Program: Beginner/intermediate alternative with reduced travel and cost
4. What is the Elite Team program?
Elite Teams are designed for athletes who aspire to play volleyball at the collegiate level and are ready to make volleyball a top priority. These teams compete nationally and travel out of state to National Qualifiers.
5. How often do Elite Teams practice?
Elite Teams practice three times per week, with the possibility of additional practices throughout the season.
6. Are Elite athletes allowed to play other sports?
It is strongly recommended that Elite athletes avoid participating in other sports that may conflict with volleyball practices, tournaments, or training schedules.
7. What are Top Teams?
Top Teams are highly competitive travel teams for athletes interested in progressing their volleyball skills and potentially playing in college. They compete in at least one National Qualifier during the season.
8. How often do Top Teams practice?
Top Teams practice two to three times per week.
9. What are Select Teams?
Select Teams are designed for athletes who want to continue developing strong volleyball fundamentals while balancing other activities or sports.
10. Are Select Teams good for multi-sport athletes?
Yes. Select Teams are ideal for athletes involved in multiple sports because they have a more manageable travel and practice commitment.
11. How often do Select Teams practice?
Select Teams practice twice a week.
12. What is the Gold Program?
The Gold Program is an alternative to a full club season for families seeking quality volleyball training with less travel, lower time commitment, and a more affordable option.
13. Who is the Gold Program designed for?
The Gold Program is designed for beginner to intermediate players ages 8–14.
14. How often do Gold Program teams practice?
Gold Program teams practice two nights per week for two hours each session.
15. How many players are on a Gold Program team?
Each Gold Program team may have up to 12 athletes with one coach. Two teams may practice together on the same court with two coaches.
16. What tournaments do Gold Program teams attend?
Gold teams participate in:
- One United League tournament per month (January–April)
- At least two local 2-day AAU tournaments
17. How far do Gold Program teams travel?
United League tournaments are typically within a 2-hour radius of the Central Orlando area.
18. What are tournament days like for Gold teams?
Most United League tournaments are one-day Saturday events and usually run from approximately 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
19. Can beginners join the club?
Yes. The club offers opportunities for beginner, intermediate, and advanced athletes through various programs, camps, clinics, and leagues.
